I took the picture yesterday evening, when the rain clouds were coming in over Twin Peaks and lights were switched on in all these houses.

From a lot of places in the city you can catch a look to the Bay, huge ships on it and the other side with Alameda and Oakland.

A week ago, Prada was re-doing their shop window so I got the chance to take a picture of the empty one with mirrors all over the place.

I'm not sure if it was intentional to set the year to '08. Fine with me, that's when he was elected.

Street cleaning

Sometimes people just put their old stuff on the sidewalk and it's gone in an hour. Someone else took it and makes good use of it. I like that idea of recycling. So the title should say: House cleaning instead.

and while I'm at it: Another picture from a store in Noe Valley running out of business - it happened, I guess about 2 years ago. Instead of a video store there is now the American Taekwondo Association Navarrete's Black Belt Academy.

Supermarket

Bell Market, the supermarket in the background of the photo closes as well. Whole Food will take over and after remodeling for at least 6 months reopen it's store. Whole Foods Market is selling natural and organic food, so that will be a great change. I just hope the best for the current workers at Bell Market.

Streetlight Records

on 24th street, in Noe Valley is closing it's doors. After 33 years it will close the end of this month. The Noe Valley Voice reports: " ... factors that went into Fallon's decision to give up the store: the sour economy, competition from other retailers and the Internet, and an iPod culture that promotes one-hit wonders instead of whole albums."

Fall, winter or simply: January?

Nature behaves differently then I'm used to from other places. Some trees still have yellow leaves falling off in January, while others will blossom soon.
