Prodigy in concert

I know they are a little far away and there must be photos of them out there showing them close up, (enlarging the picture helps). However, it was a great concert!

Well it's not really the coffee place, it's the garbage can outside of the place reflecting part of the shop inside and the benches and chairs they put outside.

South Indian cuisine

One of my favorite dishes in a South Indian restaurant. "Dahi Vada Lentil dumplings, topped with cool Strauss organic yogurt, piped with tamarind & mint, mildly spiced"

Streetcar

Today I had the luck to get picked up by one of the historic streetcars. While waiting for the J-line this antique streetcar came along. It was the New Orleans "Napoleon" streetcar. It's so great, that they still are around and used for public transportation.

my intent was to take a picture of the entrance, kind of "art nouveau" (Jugendstil), but then I realized all the reflections in the window and I like them even better.

Shipyard and Bay

Part of the old shipyard and view of San Francisco Bay under dark grey clouds. Very rainy these days.

open studio

Went to the spring open studio at Hunters Point Shipyard. First I love the area, old abandoned shipyard buildings and buildings used by artists for their work. So secondly I love the open studios, where they open up their studios/rooms for the public and one can walk through these buildings and explore their work, talk to the artists and enjoy their art.

I took the picture a while ago, saw it on a sidewalk and thought it's a good picture for May, 1st.
It's honoring Emiliano Zapata leading figure of the Mexican Revolution. And in telling that "La Lucha Sigue", there's also the connection to May 1st, the "International Workers' Day" a celebration of the international labor movement.
