Opera in the ballpark

SF Opera and SF Giants presented a live simulcast of Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca. Although I am not a fan of opera, I went, just for the atmosphere and I must say I liked it. They even put subtitles on, so I could understand what they sang.

  1. I just had to tell my husband about this — he loves opera (I can hear someone yelling out high notes from his computer right now). He thinks having one in a football stadium is cool!

  2. I was there and it was a total blast! I am an opera fan & have seen Tosca before- and I thought the performance was fabulous. I really liked Tosca. And the loose atmosphere of the stadium was very enjoyable! I wish we could do this in Denver, CO! (where I live)

  3. Cool idea. It make Opera available to people who would not go to an Opera House.
