SF Opera and SF Giants presented a live simulcast of Giacomo Puccini's opera Tosca. Although I am not a fan of opera, I went, just for the atmosphere and I must say I liked it. They even put subtitles on, so I could understand what they sang.
I just had to tell my husband about this — he loves opera (I can hear someone yelling out high notes from his computer right now). He thinks having one in a football stadium is cool!
I was there and it was a total blast! I am an opera fan & have seen Tosca before- and I thought the performance was fabulous. I really liked Tosca. And the loose atmosphere of the stadium was very enjoyable! I wish we could do this in Denver, CO! (where I live)

ReplyDeleteCool idea. It make Opera available to people who would not go to an Opera House.
ReplyDeleteI loooooove Opera and only the Italian ones..they seem to be more dramatic and I'm "drama queen numero uno"!!
