Today is Theme Day empty. The picture shows one of a couple of people in this city looking for empty bottles or cans in garbage cans. They bring them to places for recycling and make a little bit of money out of it.

Thank you for your comment on my empty crocodile mouth photo for today's Daily Photo theme day. I enjoyed your interpretation of the "empty" theme, and certainly people who recover materials from trash for recycling perform a useful service, as long as they don't spill the trash.
ReplyDeleteIn Buenos Aires, they have a group of people they call cartineros who go though the trash every trash day and recycle things down to the cardboard boxes that people throw away.
I haven't seen people do this in a long time!
